The University of Andorra is the only public university in the state of Andorra. Its mission is to meet the basic needs of the Andorran society, in higher education, in research and in technology and knowledge transfer, with a high level quality and adapted to the reality and dimensions of the country.
The official presential studies in the University of Andorra follow the guidelines of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). These studies are measured in European credit and follow a teaching methodology focused on student learning continuously and personally.
The UdA offers two levels of formal education: higher professional education and first and second cycle university studies, with both presential and virtual methodology.
Higher Professional Education
Higher professional education combines theory with a high practical component. This is two years with 120 European credits.
Once successfully completed these studies, students gain the title of state: advanced professional diploma (DPA in catalan) in the corresponding specialty:

First attendance cycles
The University of Andorra offers first cycle attendance university training with 180 European credits, equivalent to a three-year full-time, leading to a state title. Studies offered:
- Bachelor in Nursing.
- Bachelor in Computer Management.
- Bachelor in Business Administration.
- Bachelor in Education Science.
- Bachelor for specialisation in obstetrics and gynecology nursing.
The University of Andorra, through the Virtual Studies Center, offers quality university education through the use of information technology and virtual teaching methodology, in collaboration with other universities.
University extension courses aim to meet the training demands of different professional sectors to contribute to improvement and recycling of professionals. This offer is very dynamic, depending on the needs of different professional groups and institutions.
ACCESS COURSE TO HIGHER EDUCATION
The university access course for people over 25 years is a blended training of one academic year duration, leading to university degrees to people over 25 years who do not have secondary school.
